Is vision affected
Any history of retinal detachment
Any history of retinal tear
Is the patient myopic (wears glasses for distance since young age).
If no to above review within 1 week
Ask patient to close one eye at a time If double vision present when looking with 1 eye in particular, routine referral.
Patient to be seen by A&E first as well as ENT. Questions to be asked:
Any of the following:
Headaches
Vomiting
Double Vision
Flashing of Lights
If no see within 7 days
