3.0 Monitoring
Monitoring of this guideline is through the Infection Prevention & Control Environmental Audit programme.
The linen services are provided by a contracted managed service. A visit to the company’s laundry facility is part of the tender process. Any "day to day" issues are escalated as part of the normal running of the contract by the housekeeping department and resolution of these is expected locally between the supplier and the Trust. The supplier provides a quarterly report evidencing its performance against contractual KPI’s, any issues of non-compliance that have been either resolved or are outstanding are discussed at these meetings. Results from monthly microbiological testing of samples from the laundry are provided as part of the report to support compliance with EN14065 standards.
